Great opportunity to come and meet her and talk wakeboarding!!
Will Christien is a British native who stormed into the international wakeboarding scene about 10 years ago when she discovered the sport while traveling through Australia. She began riding competitively in 1999 in the United Kingdom, but currently resides and trains at Lake Rochelle in Winter Haven, Florida. Although competitive by nature, Will has evolved toward the coaching aspect of the sport over the past few years. With the help of her sponsors, namely MasterCraft, CWB and O’Neill, Will runs “women’s only” coaching clinics throughout the U.S. and U.K.
Wakechix, as her clinics are called, are the first women’s only wakeboard and boat driving clinics, driven and coached by girls for girls. They are set up to help give females of all ages and abilities the opportunity to be coached in a style which girls can more easily relate to. This means a more relaxed environment to ride and drive in, where there’s no need to feel intimidated. Will’s philosophy is that the girls involved in her clinics can have a fun time while buiding their confidence out on the water… without having to worry about the guys!
When Will isn’t coaching, training or wakeboarding, she enjoys hanging out with her dog Scrap, spending time with her friends, hitting the gym and watching movies.
Axis Wake Research is dedicated to advancing wake sports and bringing an unrivaled level of performance, simplicity, and style to the value based boat segment.
After a stellar showing at the Melbourne boatshow, what better way is there to follow on from the show?
