Acetone is what ya use on fiberglass apposed to using thinners.

Edit: When u layup fiberglass u use acetone to prep the surface.

I'd be a bit weary about acetone. I know with painted and gel/flo coat surfaces it will blemish.

Best off using wax and grease remover and a chux cloth for sticker residue.

Use "prepsol"

It won't mark the gel coat and will remove all sticker goo

I'm a spray painter by trade and deal with this stuff all the time

Trust me- prepsol is what you need- get t from an automotive paint supplier
Also known as wax and grease remover
