hey all,

considering an sy 2010 rwd ghia. It will be towing my 07 x2, not sure what the x2 weighs in at but i think around 2,300 which is right at the territorys limit, but my towing will be a 10km round trip on flat ground to and from the ramp.

I noticed all the comments seem to be focussed on the awd versions because of the 6 speed box, but can someone tell me what just the rwd would tow like / if i will be able to tow with this car ?

thanks

Had a 2004 2WD 4 speed TX territory from 2006 through to 2013.
Was a very capable tow car on the bitumen, we tow a 2006 Response.
Not very good when retrieving a boat from a dam that has no boat ramp, used to just wheel spin in the gravel.
Bought the son a 2005 Hilux dual cab and it idled out in low range 4x4.
Tow with a Prado since 2013 with no issues off road.
Verdict - if using concrete ramps go for it, if using on dirt where no ramp go for a 4x4.
