ha ha. Yeah I suppose we have completely different styles of boats.
You'd like my platform on your boat and I'd like your speed in my boat....haha.

Here's my old girl that I finally had a day up at Somerset skiing. Bought her last Sep after sitting neglected in a back yard for several years, and with lot's of work, cursing, new stringers, floor, fuel tank, interior paint job, and cleaning, all seals and fixing and tuning the old 1955 Y Block 272 she's away. Not the fastest boat, but pulls single skiers out of deep water no worries, and sounds great!! Very proud of my first boat!! Named her "LOKI" after the Norse god of evil and mischief. Name fits perfectly as everytime I fixed a problem, two more showed up!! Just have to get a decal made up to put on her side now.
By the way she's 4.5m Everingham Glass Clinker with 272 Y Block and a dog clutch. Unk year of build as there is no plate and only history is she was first registered in 1980 in NSW. She's definately older that that and I'm guessing early seventies.

Nice one YT72! Great to see some pics of it. Mate I think its even older than early 70s with the twin cockpit setup as well as the position and the style of the exhaust outlets. you can probably add another 10 years to it at least. So the Yblock that they put in was probably not that old when the hull was built.
If you want some stickers made up i have a mate who does very good work. do a search for GRUMPY and see what you think.

I am pretty sure it is that what the old man always said and we did have some else comment that it was a stephens and he said its one of a very limited number that had the rounded edge at the rear of the hull, but i have never really questioned it might have to do some research when i get home.
