Postby 82Juddcraft » Tue Dec 27, 2016 6:48 pm

We were going to go out yesterday with some mate to Lake Charm but we called it off, It was 24km/hr at home and I we didn't want to drive 1hr to find it choppy as.

Depends where you live. We can go out in a cyclone and find glass on my river :)
Enjoy the ride. Any time on the water is good time!

^^^
But how much chop is too much? :D

If I'm getting wet when I'm driving, then it's too windy/choppy! However, I've got an old school ski boat which is quite low so have to be very select on where and when we go out. If we go down the swan river in Perth it can be too windy in some spots but go around the corner a bit and it's ok.

Yeah same with my 18ft, the slightest breeze and it gets smashed.
That's the beauty of the river you can always find a good sheltered straight somewhere. Every time we went to Kangaroo lake it was choppy.

No wind, other boats, this morning. Hours of the river to ourselves.

If you ever go to lake keepit in NSW, that's pretty much the result of a 4km/h gust.
