Re: This winters projectYa just need to make them think it was their idea.
Needs a bit of work, theres a bit of this eveywhere. Probably just get a new clear on the roof and just drive it till after summer. Boats main priority at the moment. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Re: This winters projectBit of a update.
Power steerings in. As usual nothing fit. Hoses hit on the exhaust. Belts didnt line up So i had to make a bracket to get it out past the exhaust and line up with the main pulley Had to move a bit of copper work around to cut the cooler in. Water must have made its way into the steering cable at some point You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Re: This winters projectNoticed a bit of a fuel in around the engine the other day and it looked like it had been weeping out of the back of the carby.
Not sure where exactly it was coming from but I replaced assorted metering block and float gaskets You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Re: This winters projectBought a new Tacho to replace the bugged one.
For some reason I couldn't get it to work neither. I got good 12v and ground. I'm getting a good signal from the distributor https://youtu.be/TbsXq9Zj7do Ive set all the dip switches in the tacho to V8. So Ive messaged the guy i bought it off and hes put me onto Autometer to hopefully get a replacement.
Re: This winters projectThats about it...
Got a ski pole ordered and on its way. May need to make it suit. Its more for a jet bote/v drive than a sterndrive but well see what turns up. While I'm doing that i still need to make a filler pipe for the fuel tank. Got a Fuel sender and gauge coming. Boats penciled in for the 13th of November for a ClubMarine insurance check.
Re: This winters projectTop effort. I am waiting for on water pics including high speed runs!!!

Re: This winters project
U reckon she'll get up and boogie? Haha
Re: This winters projectWell it has a leg so you can trim it out and make it look fast.
Take a pic at 40mph and tell us all it's 75 ![]() Brownie knows boats!
Re: This winters project
Hahaha, any boat with a roost is doing 75mph...
Re: This winters projectIts geared pretty low but got a pretty high pitch prop so im not sure how she'll go.
As long as it beats me mate new 300 outboard I'll be happy.
Re: This winters projectThe most important part.

Re: This winters projectDunno what i done to the tacho but its all of a sudden decided to work.
First i tryed it on the car. https://youtu.be/mOXJL-RF4Ew Then the boat https://youtu.be/lHB0Iks9cTQ Spent most of today tieing up loose ends. All it needs is a ski tow and fuel tank filler pipe and its ready for inspection. Edit: Theres a few smaller jobs but they wont stop it going on the water like cup holders and a new winch strap.

Re: This winters project
Now, how to answer diplomatically.....
Re: This winters projectI'd take that as a "Yes but it would look sick from a distance lol" Probably needs a bimini before any cosmetics.
Re: This winters projectPut a new winch strap on the trailer. Regreased and replaced afew bolts.
Might be a regular thing to do is drag it out to dry, it was fairly rusty. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Re: This winters projectFinished the bilge pump.
Used a 1/2in rail shower elbow from Reece looks neat. Resined up the inside of the whole, the smell brings back horrible memories. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Re: This winters projectAll boats need a few of these
